Grand Hotel The Musical

'Night, Mother

by Marsha Norman

Produced by The Alchemy Theatre

The Whisenhunt at Zach Theater
October 17 – 26, 2025

Pulitzer Prize–winning playwright Marsha Norman’s ’night, Mother is a searing, intimate drama that unfolds over the course of a single evening. In this tense and profoundly human story, a daughter makes a life-altering confession to her mother, setting in motion an unflinching exploration of love, despair, and the quiet battles fought within families. With raw honesty and piercing dialogue, ’night, Mother asks: how well do we really know the ones we love most?

Age Recommendation: 16 and up due to mature themes and subject matter

Runtime: 90 minutes (no intermission)

Content Warning: This production contains frank discussions of suicide, depression, and end-of-life decisions. It may be distressing for some audience members. Resources and support information will be available in the lobby and program.
