The Sunflower Apostle Staged Reading

The Sunflower Apostle, set in 1882, is a factual story centering on a group of creatively minded Victorian women living in a small farming community in the Midwest. The women attempt to overcome the suppression of their feelings about themselves, their husbands, and art by convincing a promising young poet from England named Oscar Wilde to visit their town during his lecture tour of the United States.
