April Patterson
April has a very diverse background in the entertainment and education industry, from managing her children’s acting careers for a combined 15 years, to acquiring agents, negotiating contracts, and solidifying jobs for them and others, before studying to become an actress herself. April finds value in helping others achieve their goals while also nurturing hers. She is a true believer that no one climbs the ladder of opportunity alone. Her goal is to apply her creative talents and connections to partner with talent to develop creative content for television and film and connect hardworking creatives to help them reach the next level in their careers.
In 2020, April developed Alise Aaron Films, an integrated content company whose mission is to empower visionary storytellers all over the nation, focusing strictly on the Southeast region. Alise Aaron is an independent production company uniquely suited to identify talented filmmakers and bring their stories to life. April has been featured in independent films such as Baby Nick and It’s a Wonderful Plight. It’s a Wonderful Plight, written by the esteemed music producer, J. Rhodes, was her first feature and earned her a runner-up award for “Best Producer” in the Oniros Film Festival where the film was awarded “Best Social Justice Film.”
April is currently a 2nd Dan martial artist and has been an instructor at PKC Legacy Martial Arts since 2016. She has a Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do under PKC Karate School and The Superfoot System.
She is co-owner of three businesses, one as an acting consultant to help young actors enter the industry, specializing in promoting and developing children along with educating the parents. The other two focus on her other passions—academics and health/wellness. Together, she and her husband own and operate Xscape Pain, Frisco (a red light wellness center that is now partnered with ICRYO Frisco) , and Quest Learning Online, an online skill mastery online program. She also teaches acting at the Carol Hickey Acting Studio and is on the board of directors for Inversion Ensemble.
